This privacy policy explains how Peachy Ventures Ltd. ("we", "us" and "our") handles information when you use Unity, our website at getunity.app, and related support services. Peachy Ventures Ltd. is the controller for the information described in this policy.

Unity is a unit and currency conversion app for Apple platforms. We keep data collection limited to what is needed to provide the app, support it, and keep it working properly.

Information We Collect

  • Support messages. If you contact us, we receive the email address and content you choose to send.
  • Location permission. If you allow location access, Unity uses your approximate device location to suggest local currency conversions. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings.
  • App purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Unity may receive purchase status information needed to unlock paid features.
  • Currency and crypto rate requests. Unity may contact external rate services to fetch exchange-rate and market data. Those requests can include currency or asset codes and normal technical information such as an IP address.
  • Advertising and diagnostics. The free app may show ads through Google Mobile Ads. Apple, Google, or their services may provide us with diagnostics, crash information, ad delivery data, and similar technical information.
  • Website data. The website is a static site and does not require an account. Our hosting providers may process standard server information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps.

How We Use Information

  • To provide unit conversions, currency rates, widgets, suggested conversions, and location-based currency suggestions.
  • To process App Store purchases and restore access to paid features.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To keep the app and website secure, reliable, and up to date.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights where needed.

Legal Bases

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent for optional location access and any settings that require permission; contract where processing is needed to provide the app or paid features; legitimate interests for support, security, diagnostics, and service improvement; and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

We share information only where needed with service providers and platform partners that help operate Unity, including Apple for App Store purchases and diagnostics, Google for mobile ads where ads are shown, hosting providers for the website, support/email providers, and exchange-rate or market-data providers used by the app. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.

International Transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent protections.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Support emails are kept while needed to deal with your request and for reasonable business records. Location information used by Unity is controlled through the app and your device settings. App Store purchase records are managed by Apple and may be retained by us or Apple as needed for purchase support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.

Your Choices

  • You can change location access in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, or visionOS settings.
  • You can manage App Store purchases, subscriptions, and refunds through Apple.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent where those rights apply.

Your Rights

If you are in the UK, European Economic Area, Switzerland, California, or another region with privacy rights, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can make a request by emailing hello@getunity.app. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EEA, you can find supervisory authority details through the European Data Protection Board.

Children

Unity is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please take care when sending information to us.
